The Molecular Biotechnology Center was inaugurated in 2006 with the scope of unifying the diverse Biotechnology research groups of the University of Turin, in order to form a Center of Excellence for interdisciplinary teaching.
The MBC of the University of Turin offers advanced facilities for teaching and research activities. Here, high technology structures work actively, both for technological transfer and for the development of new entrepreneurial ideas.
Prof. Lorenzo Silengo is the Director of MBC and Prof. Fiorella Altruda is the President of the Interfaculty School for Biotechnologies.
